Perhaps it isn’t the “norm” to write one’s own musical bio but I believe this collection of all-acoustic tracks is owed more of an auto-biographical background.

When I was nine years old, I was gifted at Christmastime with an old Fender guitar. I begged my parents for over a year for a guitar and prior to receiving it had been writing poetry. The words seemed to come out of nowhere, in on the wind at unexpected times, at times when I needed them most. I put the poems to melodies I’d dreamed up while walking along the railroad tracks in back of our small southeastern Massachusetts home.

The songs on Words on the Wind are from those nostalgic days when I turned to music and the artists for comfort during some of the hardest times I’ve experienced and they always had my back. We are fortunate to be able to lean on the lyrics and music to so many songs that continue to speak to the truest part of who we are, the songs that will always connect and help to heal us.

I chose and have recorded this collection from my heart. The songs have been with me for years and the artists are some of my favorites. I can only hope I’ve done them justice as a way to thank those who have paved the way, artistically, musically, and soulfully.
